Kelly + Michael | Foggy Summer Loveland Pass Elopement
K + M are so fun! I’m so happy we did engagement phots first (here) to learn about how awesome they are. They were new to Colorado and live with a husky breed as well. I knew once Kelly and Michael wanted their engagements at Red Rocks (K wearing a bright pink dress), elopement in the mountains, and liked going to shows..they were my kinda people. Their color palette for wedding day was so great for the day too. The creams really popped against the dark mountains on this August day. This weather could not have been any better. It felt like we were in the PNW but not insanely chilly. The fog rolled in as the ceremony started and the light was perfectly diffused.
I think some guests were stoked on the view too, everyone had phones/cameras out LOL
Don’t forget to be present in the moment! I can document for ya ;)
Not gonna lie though, did have a huge convo about film with the one shooting medium format because I know he got some great shots!
Their family is so supportive and emotional, you could really tell. What really got me was the review I received afterwards from a family member that had me in tears. Really wonderful people that make me so so grateful for my job!
A good hubz lending the jacket. Knowing Colorado, it can easily get VERY cold in the mountains at any time. Thankful that it wasn’t too crazy this day and there wasn’t much wind.
Kelly’s something blue - can you spot it?
The light started to brighten up as we headed to another side on the mountain.
Good timing for more portraits! And Michael had the inside of his jacket custom made, I love.
I noticed the ear tattoo and had to snap a shot of trees with tree :)
A simple handmade bouquet seemed to really tie the dress and colors together.
Colorado is awesome in all seasons but sometimes you get those days that are just pure bliss. That day was this. A rhyme ;) See you and pups together soon, okay?
