Sarah + Jon | Summer Wildflowers in Crested Butte, CO
Camping is something you just do if you live in Colorado. Seeing the summer wildflowers is a must also. But combined? A concoction of color and awe.
As Willy Wonka would say, “a world of pure imagination.”
Sarah is my hair stylist and sometimes we do trades for photos. Trades are so awesome because I’m willing to trade for just about any task I need done. We both had a weekend free so we met up in town once we got down to Crested Butte. We drove to the campsite, set up, and headed out for photos. The next morning, Sarah cut my hair among the trees. New salon idea okay?
Sarah and Jon got engaged a month or so after we did photos. I’m so glad that we had this experience and for her to have recent photos to use. Congrats you two!
It started to sprinkle while we were in the first field we went to; we had fun in it obviously.
They did their signature pose, I call it Tug Of War. What do you think?
Are you also a person who wears shorts under dresses because that’s definitely me too
Jon gives free piggy-back rides without hesitation. This wasn’t even something I asked for photos.
Pro-tip: Always bring binoculars for far away wildlife that may be spotted.
The evening light started setting in and so did the fog. MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC.
Brought the drone for some shots to end the day. We decided to do by the river with the white flowers peaking through. It was a perfect spot away from anyone to enjoy the sound of the river rushing and chill time on the blanket for them. I didn’t have a completely flat surface to take the drone off from so just did it from a skateboard I had in my car!
* shoulder shrug * Use whatcha got!
We headed back to camp after this for a fire with s’mores and wine.
More camping photoshoots please.
